What fits a 51 mm De’Longhi

· How we pick · Full Fit Finder

De’Longhi uses a 51 mm group that belongs to nobody else. This is the most common way money gets wasted on these machines: the parts you will see everywhere are made for Breville (54 mm) or for prosumer machines (58 mm), and neither will go in. Filter every listing by 51 mm before you look at anything else.

Cut-away of two basket floors: a dual-wall pressurised floor with a single hole, and a single-wall floor with many fine holes.
Left: pressurised — one exit hole, so it makes crema regardless of grind. Right: non-pressurised — many holes, so the coffee bed controls the flow. About this image: it is an AI-rendered schematic, not a photograph of real hardware. The geometry was checked against manufacturer documentation and the sources listed at the foot of this page.

PartSizeWhy it matters
Portafilter51 mmDe’Longhi uses its own 51 mm size. Neither 54 mm (Breville) nor 58 mm (commercial) parts will fit.Find one ↗
Filter baskets51 mm The stock basket is pressurised — it forces crema regardless of grind, which hides both good and bad grinding. A non-pressurised 51 mm basket is the standard upgrade, but only makes sense with a real grinder.Find one ↗
Tamper51 mmMust be 51 mm. The plastic scoop-tamper in the box is the single biggest limiter on this machine.Find one ↗

Puck screen51 mmSits on top of the puck. Sold for the Dedica in 51 mm, typically around 150 µm mesh.Find one ↗
Distribution / leveller51 mmLevels the grounds before tamping. Adjustable-depth versions let you match the shallow 51 mm basket.Find one ↗

De’Longhi’s 51 mm is its own ecosystem. Parts sold for Breville (54 mm) or prosumer machines (58 mm) will not fit, so filter every listing by 51 mm.
